Vanrentals.ie launch new range of refrigerated vans.
We are delighted to announce that we are now offering a full range of refrigerated hire vans for both short and long term rental. Over the last decade there has been a huge increase in the legislation governing the production and transportation of food. Much of this legislation related to the supply chain of food and the constant temperatures needed throughout this process. We found that many customers who traditionally had no use for refrigerated units found themselves compelled to operate them in order to meet such requirements. With this in mind we decided to add refrigerated options to our commercial hire vehicle range to better serve our existing customers and an exciting way to introduce our brand to new businesses.

Basically a company operating a fridge vehicle cannot function without a like for like replacement, so when annual doe tests or servicing come around they require a similar vehicle. By being able to supply replacement refrigerated units in conjunction with our testing and servicing facilities we are closer to our goal of being a complete one stop shop for our customer’s vehicular requirements. We are putting on what we believe to be the most versatile refrigerated rental vans that can be operated on a car license. The basis for these units is the LWB Ford Transit T350. The new revised Transit has been a huge success for Ford and is selling in record numbers. The biggest jump in practicality of the new transit is the improved cabin space and ergonomics. The all new 125 bhp engine and six speed gearbox give a much more even spread of useable power , which is especially needed in a fully laden fridge van.
First Rate Chill / Freezer units and Insulation.
The Freezer units which we have used are manufactured by Thermo king, the industry leaders in this type of refrigeration unit. Our refrigerated vans have single phase plugin for overnight cooling and in cab controls and temperature monitoring of the load. The interior insulation is specifically fabricated for the Ford Transit and offers much more uniform thermal characteristics than foam based interiors. All internal lighting is led based for heat neutral operation. We believe that this configuration offers the most flexible refrigerated rental van in the market.

Our first batch of refrigerated rental vehicles will be going on fleet in February of 2016, we are offering very competitive daily, weekly and monthly rates on these refrigerated hire vans. The vans are distinguished by a new signage style, basically blue rather than yellow, which makes them stand out versus the dry good vans.
